Join us for two days of interdisciplinary and cross-professional presentations and conversations designed to advance research on online child protection.

Hosted at the Universitat Politècnica de València, Valencia (Spain), the Cross-disciplinary Approaches to Online Child Protection Conference brings together participants working on ensuring that children are and feel safe online across academia, civil society, and government.

This international conference provides a space for cross-disciplinary researchers in fields including linguistics, law, criminology, sociology, psychology, education, and computer sciences to connect with child safeguarding practitioners and policymakers, collaboratively addressing children’s digital wellbeing and safety.

In addition to oral presentations and interactive workshops, the conference will offer extensive networking opportunities including via poster sessions and a conference dinner. Research areas include, but are not limited to:

— Children’s digital literacy
— Children’s digital wellbeing
— Cyberbullying
— Online child sexual exploitation and abuse
— Online grooming (including the link to missing children)
— Child-to-child harassment
— Digital privacy and child protection
— Child safeguarding and education
— Children’s digital rights

— Submission of abstracts: 15 December 2023.
— Notification of acceptance: 1 February 2023.
— Early bird registration: from 1 February to 15 March 2024.
